The Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba concentrates more than 1,200 years of history in a single building: the ancient Umayyad mosque begun in the 8th century, its caliphal extensions and the Christian cathedral built afterwards inside. On a self-guided visit you can see its columns, arches and chapels, but it's easy to lose track of the different phases and not understand why each area is different.
The visit lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes, from the start at the Puerta del Perdón to the exit through the Puerta de Santa Catalina. Being private, the pace is better adapted to the group.
Available in Spanish, English and French. For German, Portuguese and Italian, one week's notice is required. The visit is exclusive to your group, with no other visitors added.
You can book any day of the week between 10:00 and 17:30, subject to Cabildo availability.
Includes official guide, tickets for the entire group, individual audio headsets and access to the Cathedral Treasury.
