MANAGING BOOKINGS AND CONFIRMATIONS

Everything you need to know to secure your place on Córdoba's best Free Tour.

What is the process for securing my place?

Access our online platform, select your preferred date and time slot, complete the short form with your contact details and confirm the booking. The entire process takes less than 3 minutes from any device.

Can I book on the same day as my visit?

If places are available, yes. During peak season (Festival de los Patios in May, Holy Week, bank holidays) groups fill up 24 to 48 hours in advance. In mid-season there is more flexibility for last-minute bookings.

Does it require creating an account or complex registration?

You do not need to register on any platform. Direct booking requires only the name of the group's main contact, an email address and a mobile number for coordination.

Can I include my whole group in a single booking?

Of course. Specify the total number of participants when completing the booking. If you are travelling with children, please mention it as some tours offer special arrangements for families.

Does the booking confirmation arrive straight away?

Within less than 5 minutes of completing your booking, you will receive an email and WhatsApp with the specific meeting point, exact start time and direct team contact.

Can I manage my booking via WhatsApp?

Absolutely. Send a message to +34 655 95 96 78 specifying the Free Tour you want, the date, time and number of participants. We confirm availability immediately and handle all the details through the same channel.

What do I do if I do not receive my confirmation?

Check your spam or promotions folders. If it still does not appear, contact us immediately by WhatsApp or phone. We respond within less than 1 hour to ensure you have all the information you need.

LOGISTICS ON THE DAY OF YOUR FREE TOUR

Tips, meeting points and everything you need to know to enjoy your experience.

What is the exact location of the meeting point?

Plaza de las Tendillas, next to the central fountain. A central location just 5 minutes' walk from the Mosque-Cathedral and well connected by public transport. 48 hours before you will receive the exact GPS location and a reference photograph.

How early should I arrive?

10 minutes before the scheduled time. Guides carry visible identification (orange umbrella) and take punctual attendance to begin the tour according to the set schedule.

What should I bring to the Free Tour?

Non-slip footwear for Córdoba's cobblestones, a water bottle (especially March to October), sun protection (cap, sunscreen) and your booking confirmation on your mobile. In winter, a light layer for cooler morning temperatures.

What is the typical group size?

A maximum of 30 people to guarantee perfect audibility and the opportunity for interaction with the guide. In low season groups tend to have between 12 and 18 participants. We never allow overcrowding as it compromises the quality of the experience.

Are there breaks during the tour?

Every 15 to 20 minutes we stop for detailed explanations. In the summer months we prioritise shaded areas and increase the frequency of breaks depending on the composition of the group.

Can I take photographs during the tour?

Absolutely. We point out the best photo angles at each monument and your guide can assist with group shots if you ask.

What happens if I arrive late to the meeting point?

We wait 5 minutes as a courtesy before starting the tour. If you arrive later, you can try to locate the group by following the usual route, though we cannot guarantee you will be able to catch up.

Do the tours run in bad weather?

In moderate rain we continue with umbrellas provided. We only cancel in the event of official weather alerts. If we do cancel, we will notify you in advance and offer an alternative date or a straightforward cancellation with no further obligation.

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS AND TIPS AT THE END

Everything you need to know about tips and how to show your appreciation for the experience.

Is there a specific compulsory tip amount?

There is no set minimum. The contribution reflects your personal assessment of the experience. The usual range is €10 to €15 per adult, though it depends entirely on your satisfaction and personal budget.

How is the tip given to the guide?

At the end of the tour, the guide accepts cash, card and even Bizum.

Do guides suggest amounts or put pressure on participants?

Never. Certified professional guides never suggest amounts or apply any pressure.

Is the contribution per person or per family/group?

Per family or group of friends. If there are 4 of you, you can make a combined contribution rather than individual ones. Families typically make a single group contribution that covers all members.

Do children contribute individually?

Children do not make individual contributions. The adults in the group make a combined contribution that covers all participants. Children under 6 are never included in tip calculations.

MANAGING CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

Up to 2 hours before the start of the Free Tour with no penalty. As there is no upfront payment, simply let us know through the same channel you used to book (email, WhatsApp, online platform).
Reply to the confirmation email you received, send a WhatsApp to the number provided or contact us through the platform where you completed your booking. Include your full name and the date of the tour for quick identification. We confirm the cancellation immediately.
No restrictions up to 2 hours before. Specify your new preferred date and, if there are available places, we transfer your booking automatically. The new confirmation arrives instantly with all updated details.
There are no financial penalties as no advance payment was made, but your place is one that another traveller could have used. If you know you cannot attend, please let us know at least 2 hours before to free up the space.
This depends on the remaining availability in the group. Get in touch as soon as possible indicating how many additional people will be joining. If places are available, we add them to your existing booking without any complications.
No problem up to 2 hours before. Simply specify how many fewer people will be attending and we update your booking immediately. No penalties apply as the Free Tour operates with no upfront cost.

ACCESSIBILITY AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Are the tours accessible for wheelchair users?

The historic city centre of Córdoba has cobblestones and moderate slopes in the Jewish Quarter, though we adapt the route by avoiding the steeper streets. The majority of the itinerary is accessible. Please let us know when booking to confirm full viability based on your specific needs.

Can I join with a pushchair?

On all Free Tours pushchairs are welcome. In the Jewish Quarter the streets are narrow and occasional manoeuvring is required, but it is perfectly manageable. We guide you towards the more comfortable routes and avoid steps wherever possible.

Do children enjoy the Free Tour content?

Very much so. Children are fascinated by stories about caliphs, legends of the Jewish Quarter and architectural curiosities of the Mosque-Cathedral. The guide adapts explanations, combining historical accuracy with entertaining narratives for the whole family.

Is the pace adjusted for elderly guests?

Absolutely. With older participants we adjust the walking speed and increase rest stops. We prioritise benches and shaded areas.

If you need a very relaxed pace, consider a private tour where we have full control over the timing.

Are there facilities available along the route?

We point out bars and cafés where you can stop without any obligation to purchase. There are options nearby at Plaza de las Tendillas, the Mosque-Cathedral area and the Alcázar. We highlight these points at the start of the tour.

Are pets allowed on the Free Tours?

Yes, in public spaces, with a lead compulsory at all times. Free Tours take place on streets and squares where pets are welcome. Make sure your animal is comfortable walking 2 to 3 kilometres over cobblestones.

Is there an age limit for participation?

No minimum or maximum age restrictions. From babies in pushchairs to elderly guests, all have enjoyed our tours. The guide adapts both content and pace to the specific composition of the group.

What options are available if I have difficulty walking?

Please let us know when booking and we will adapt the itinerary. We can reduce certain sections, choose routes with more seating for frequent breaks or prioritise the main monuments. The Free Tour should be a pleasure, not a test of physical endurance.

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME IN CÓRDOBA

Where can I have lunch after the tour?

The Free Tour concludes near the Mosque-Cathedral area, from where you have plenty of dining options. For traditional tapas, the guide recommends local taverns in the Jewish Quarter or around Plaza del Potro. For restaurants with a terrace, the Guadalquivir riverside area offers views over the river.

Can I visit the monuments from the inside after the panoramic tour?

That is exactly the ideal strategy. After seeing the exteriors and learning the full stories, you can make an informed decision about which sites to explore from the inside. The Mosque-Cathedral and Alcázar require an entrance ticket (recommended to purchase online). The Jewish Quarter and Roman Bridge remain freely accessible.

Does the guide provide personalised recommendations?

At the end of the tour, the guide shares local establishments for authentic cuisine, genuine flamenco and hidden gems that do not appear in tourist publications. They also advise on getting around the city and what to prioritise based on your available time in Córdoba.

Can I request the same guide for future visits?

If your guide was particularly to your liking, request them specifically for another Free Tour or private tour. Give us their name when making your new booking and, if they are available, we will assign them to you as a preference.

Where can I share my review of the Free Tour?

Google Reviews helps us enormously in terms of visibility. You can also review us on the platform where you originally made your booking. Honest reviews allow us to continually improve and help future travellers in their decision-making.

Do you offer other themed Free Tours in Córdoba?

Mysteries and Legends Night Free Tour and Secrets Free Tour through lesser-known neighbourhoods such as the Axerquía. Ask your guide which additional options are available based on your travel dates.

Can I book a private tour after the group experience?

Of course. If you would like to explore specific monuments in greater depth or visit interiors with entrance tickets included, we can arrange a fully personalised private tour with your preferred guide, subject to availability.

Does the Free Tour prepare me to explore Córdoba independently?

That is exactly what it is designed to do. It works as the perfect initial orientation. After the tour you will know the location of every main monument, how to get around the historic city centre and what to prioritise based on your personal interests.
